Santa Rosa, a bistro in northen Tel Aviv, serves Californian cuisine
This cuisine was developed by two in particular: Alice Waters, the owner of Chez Panisse in Berkley, CA and Wolfgang Puck in LA's Spago. These two and other chefs aspired to create local, fresh and seasonal food. They chose raw ingredients of the highest quality, making this cuisine the healthy alternative to the American cuisine.
California is the American wine country. Its famous "wine route", depicted in 2004's "sideways", passes through Napa and Sonoma valleys.The climate and conditions in these valleys are ideal for these world famous wines.
